This is a legally binding agreement. By submitting your content through our submission site, you confirm that you have the full legal authority to enter into this agreement on behalf of your publication, and you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not submit content.
1. License Grant
By submitting or otherwise making available any content (including front pages) (“Newspaper Content”) to GetTheShift Inc. (“Shift,” “we,” “our”) — whether provided directly by you or obtained through the Freedom Forum’s website or API with your permission — you grant Shift a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, fully paid license to:Reproduce, display, distribute, and transmit the Newspaper Content on Shift’s websites, mobile applications, social media accounts, email newsletters, and other digital or physical platforms we own or operate;Use the Newspaper Content in promotional, marketing, or partnership materials;Display your publication’s name and/or logo on Shift’s platforms and in promotional or marketing materials to identify you as a participating publisher or partner;Archive the Newspaper Content for internal, historical, editorial, or reference purposes.
All rights not expressly granted to Shift under these Terms remain with you.
2. Source of Content
You acknowledge and agree that Shift may receive your Newspaper Content directly from you or via authorized third-party services (including the Freedom Forum’s website or API) and that the rights granted under these Terms apply regardless of the method of receipt.
3. Content Standards and Warranties
You represent and warrant that:You own, or have secured, all rights, licenses, and permissions necessary to grant the rights described in these Terms;The Newspaper Content does not infringe or violate any copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or any other rights of third parties;The Newspaper Content complies with all applicable laws and regulations.
4. Term and Termination
These Terms take effect upon submission of your Newspaper Content and remain in force until terminated by either party with written notice. Termination will not affect Shift’s rights to use Newspaper Content received prior to the effective date of termination.
5. No Obligation to Use
Shift is under no obligation to publish, display, or otherwise use any Newspaper Content, and may remove content from its platforms at any time, for any reason, without notice.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither party shall be liable to the other for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising out of or in connection with these Terms, whether based on contract, tort, or any other legal theory.
7. Governing Law
